A moment to settle
Box breathing
Box breathing is a simple technique that can help you slow your breathing, settle your body, and feel more grounded during moments of stress or anxiety.
Follow the gentle square: breathe in for four, hold for four, breathe out for four, hold for four. Repeat as many rounds as feels good.
You can stop at any time. If you feel uncomfortable, return to your normal breathing.
Ground yourself in the present
5-4-3-2-1 grounding
When anxiety, stress, or overwhelm rises, this gentle sensory exercise can bring you back to the present moment. Move through each step at your own pace — there are no wrong answers.
